about

It‘s been 2 years since the debut of INSTRUMENT. An album in search for the missing link between post- and progrock.
But even if a song like ‚The End‘ could be an intro for a new EF-Album; that postrock-sound is nearly
completely gone.
OLYMPUS MONS became a rock-album with a straight bass/drum foundation on which the guitars are allowed to spread out. Once as a wall of sound, the other time with a candy-sweet melody which seduces the listeners brain... and those melodies are here to stay.
In some moments that reminds us of MOTORPSYCHO, of which INSTRUMENT is very fond. Therefore we find quite a bunch of things the Norwegians perfected over the last 20 years: brilliant melodies allowed to flower out, singing parts which crawl your skin and those kind of popsongs which are just a little bit to off and crooked to be popsongs.
With songs like ‚Picks & Chips‘ and ‚Doing nothing is art‘ they even created veritable indie-Hits.
